“Pete is an innovator who demonstrated an amazing ability to incorporate his ideas into the plans for our home. His ideas not only worked seamlessly with the house plans, but greatly enhanced the final result. The subcontractors that he employed for the detail work were all, literally, artisans whose attention to detail and professionalism were incredible.

Pete is a master at incorporating building materials that blend exceptionally well with the natural surroundings. Moreover, the rammed earth construction of our home makes it nearly inflammable, which is extremely important in a high risk fire area as the Sierra Nevada foothills. In addition, the insulating effect of the rammed earth is such that the inside tmeperature is often more than twenty degrees cooler or warmer than the outside temperature during the summer, and winter, respectively.”
